AMERICANA Storyteller
Coming out of Westchester County, New York, roots rock Americana singer-songwriter Artie Tobia writes songs delivered with unmistakable, hard-earned vocals that connect with listeners who value the words as much as the music. With Redtail Revival, the musicianship is as much a part of the live experience as the lyrics and Artie's voice.
In 2026, Artie and Redtail Revival returned to South by Southwest in Austin as Official Artists, sharing SXSW showcase bills with artists including Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine Show and John Popper of Blues Traveler. The year continued with Singer Songwriter Cape May in New Jersey, Love Earth Music Festival in Florida, Mudfest in Deansboro, New York, and the Discovery Stage at Barefoot Country Music Fest in Wildwood, New Jersey, where they performed on opening night leading into Miranda Lambert's main-stage set. It marked a second consecutive year at both SXSW and Singer Songwriter Cape May.
Closer to home, throughout the New York region and Westchester County, Redtail Revival's 2026 appearances have included the Larchmont Music Festival, with the upcoming Port Chester Day, where the band is positioned immediately before Allman Brothers tribute headliner SoulShine on a bill developed in collaboration with the historic Capitol Theatre during its centennial year.
With five full-length albums and more than 60 original songs, Artie's longevity as a musician and his experiences in life have given him plenty to write about. Aberdeen reached #13 on the AAA/AMA APD chart and #15 on the FAR chart, while Driven reached #2 on the APD Americana Album Chart. Lyrical depth, heartland grit, Southern soul, blues, and the freedom of classic American rock come together in lived-in, guitar-driven roots music shaped by working-class stories and real life - what Artie has dubbed Blue Jeans Rock.
In September 2025, Artie opened for The Marshall Tucker Band at Paramount Hudson Valley in Peekskill, New York, later joining them onstage for "Can't You See." Over the years, he has also shared stages with Dr. John, Tanya Tucker, Kansas, Poco, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Jim Lauderdale - artists who exemplify the rock, country, blues, and Americana influences found throughout his own music.
At the heart of Redtail Revival is Artie's longtime musical partnership with guitarist Mark Barden. Years of playing together give the band room to stretch - to follow a song somewhere unexpected, lean into a groove, or let the moment dictate where the music goes. It's often Barden's guitar playing that gets people talking after a show, all centered around the interplay between guitar, rhythm section, Artie's vocals, and the songs themselves that gives Redtail Revival its musical identity.
An acoustic album, a full-band album with Redtail Revival, and a live retrospective collection are planned for release in late 2026.
Artie Tobia & Redtail Revival head toward 2027 with new music on the horizon and a festival presence that continues to grow geographically, musically, and from stage to stage.
