Swamps of Louisiana to the Hudson Valley to the fields of Kansas

June was a happening month. June 9th I was honored to share the stage opening for 6 time grammy award winner and Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Dr.John and the Nite Trippers. I was equally pleased being joined by Randy Funke for that show, who dazzled with his guitar work.
June 22nd I was the first guest on Jacque's Giant Hudson Valley Music Show on WPWL. It was a fun show sharing stories and playing a few songs.
June 25th I returned to one of my favorite new venues, The Freight house Cafe in Lake Mahopac, NY. it was great fun playing my songs in an intimate setting.
The month came to a close with a show sharing the stage with Rock Icon Kansas at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ct. Along with Brent Pruner at my side for this show, we were well received by the classic rock fans of Kansas.

Daily Voice ~ New Rochelle Singer To Perform With Tanya Tucker At Tarrytown Music Hall

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- New Rochelle resident Artie Tobia , a singer songwriter, says he's seen tons of shows at the Tarrytown Music Hall but this Friday, Feb. 19, he'll finally be on stage rather than in the crowd.

Tobia will be the opening act for Tanya Tucker, an opportunity that presented itself earlier this month.

"I've been wanting to perform there for years," he said. "It's probably one of the best venues in this part of New York, and I'm thrilled."

Tobia, who is known for Roots Rock Americana music, wants to appeal to Tucker's audience and so is mulling over ideas about what to perform. His newest album, Aberdeen, came out this past summer and made it to number 13 on the AAA/AMA chart. The title track, Aberdeen, was picked as one of the top 10 songs of the week by Alternate Root Magazine.

"I may do some songs from Aberdeen, or some of my older songs," he said. "It will, however, be all my own stuff."

Tanya Tucker w/special guest Artie Tobia

Country music superstar Tanya Tucker first exploded onto the country music scene at the age of 13, with her hit single, “Delta Dawn.” Over the years she developed into a sassy and outspoken star, one of the few women to successfully penetrate the Outlaw Country movement. In a storied 40 year career, she has produced 23 Top 40 albums and a string of 56 Top 40 singles, 10 of which reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts. Along the way, she has provided some of the biggest country music hits of each decade, including, “Blood Red and Goin’ Down,” “Would you Lay with Me (In a Field of Stone),” “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane,” and “Texas (When I Die).”

Subdudes w/special guest Artie Tobia

VERY EXCITED TO HAVE TWO GREAT SHOWS TO START OFF 2016.

Sunday January 17, 2016 Towne Crier Beacon NY supporting the one and only subdudes! 7 pm show

From New Orleans, the subdudes are an Americana band with a rock-based sound that shows soul, gospel, blues, cajun/zydeco, country, and other American roots music influences.Their sound is notable for the band's substitution of a tambourine player for a drummer. The Subdudes' stature as New Orleans musicians has recently been reflected by their inclusion individually and as a group in the HBO series Treme.

Friday Jan 22, 2016 Artie Tobia Band makes a return to The Bitter End NYC to celebrate the release and charting of Aberdeen the fourth record from Artie Tobia.
Debut on the charts at #13 on AAA/AMA APD Chart, #15 on the FAR Chart,Alternate Route 66 Chart, and the AMA noncom chart.

Aberdeen debuts on National Chart

Aberdeen debuted at #15 for the month of November. Beating out DonHenley of the Eagles new solo album, as well as the band Los Lobos among others. I am right there chasing SteveMartin ( yes the comedian.. he is a banjo playing fool) and Edie Brickell,
The Bottle Rockets and the Master himself, Bob Dylan.
This is a national radio chart based on airplay from stations across the country.
